Can't travel it until you become it

I love the saying, "you can not travel the path until you become the path." Those words were from the Buddha. What he meant is that the path to self knowledge is an inward journey and not and exterior one. Some have been cautioned when entering it because it requires much strength and inner courage. It takes an isolation and solitude that only the strong can behold.
As within, so with out.
